These are straight from scanner and not required additional sharpening like most others.

Absolutely stunning performance from both the lens and the film! In another thread people are talking about planned obsolescence, but that lens will never be surpassed by a modern one.
ps: Your exposure is spot-on too. It must have been quite tricky with all that white stone in the buildings. |

Thats what happens when you have one less element to get in the way Joking aside, This is far above reasonable expectations !
I have a question for you. Did the Super Ikonta IV have a rimset compur shutter ? I ask because I have a voigtlander with the compur and it goes off with quite a bang compared to my Nettar 516/2 with the klio . I have to listen closely for the Nettar but I can feel the vibration from the Compur ? Just curious !!! _________________

Thank you Attila ! That appears to be a synchro compur so should be much smoother than my old rim set version . Sometimes simple lenses are just good ! _________________

I have good experience with simple lenses , especially on folders, I found pretty crap color-heliar and stunning novar like this. _________________ -------------------------------

I picked one of these up today, virtually mint condition, with this Novar lens mounted in a Velio shutter, which seems perfect. I'm looking forward to trying this out, it feels like a perfect carry around 120 camera. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Looks for me that it is desirable to clean up the internal surfaces of the lenses. It might be even better then. _________________ "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept" - © H. Cartier Bresson |
