just to clarify: the seller mentions CONTAX in the auction title, but says SCREW MOUNT in the description.
as far as my knowledge goes (and I had a later MC one and paid it 80 eur), post war Carl Zeiss Jena didn't make anything in Contax mount. These Zebra sonnars 180/2.8 are most likely from the sixties or seventies and should be in Pentacon Six mount with P6->M42 adapter included. I think that 100$ may be a steep price for an apparently beaten copy. I think it is wiser to seek multicoated black versions with 4 or 5 digit serial numbers from the late eighties. _________________ Nikon D70, Zenitar 16/2.8 FE, Super Takumar 50/1.4, Jupiter 9 85/2, Elicar 90/2.5 Macro, CZJ Sonnar 135/3.5, Jupiter 11A 135/4, Pentacon 200/4. The first camera to use M42 mount was Contax S in 1949, see e.g. http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Contax_S. Then came Contax D. All this was way before Yashica/Contax.

It's P6 mount for sure.
If it keeps this price would be an excellent catch. |
