yet another PB->EF adapter

I got this new PB(Praktica Bayonette if you have never heard before) to
EF (yes Canon EOS mount) adapter from eBay. This time I got with AF
confirmation chip, its price was somewhere $30.

The base metal is thin enough the most of Prakticars can easily achieve
infinity focus, but because of this some lens is so loose on the adapter.
This adapter does not have the lens mount stopper, so it should be
careful to carry the lens and camera together.

The eBay seller name is SAMPLUS, or ID is sam.plus if you are interested in.
I have no relaltionship to this guy whatsoever.

hi Koji,

i got my hands on this adapter before i made mine.

It is a good adapter for some of the Pentacon Praktica version, but i could not do infinite focus on my Flek and 135/3.5

I had it measured and it was 1.2mm thick versus mine which was 0.9mm thick.

Koji,

I appreciate all of your info about the PB on here....the best I've found anywhere on the net so far.

I recently came upon a 50mm f/1.8 PP lens....and so I'm naturally curious to see if it's worth the hassle to get it to work on my 40D.

Question...did you mean Cam.Plus instead of Sam.plus?
hxxp://myworld.ebay.com/cam.plus/

He's got some PB>EOS adapters, and I'm curious what you think!

Thanks,
Matt (in San Diego)

Hi Berit

The adapter I mentioned in this thread is from Cam.plus as you know,
this is okay adapter except lens mount stopper pin is not too secure so
you have to be careful not loosing it while you are focusing/changing
F-stops.

If you have one Prakticar lens, Alex(HK300) in our MFlenses gives
a little better adapter, the lens wont come off easily while you're using.
The price is much the same.

Thanks, Koji. I'll send him a note and see what he can do.
