Hello to all, I am hoping others who frequent MFLenses might keep their eyes open for me, as I have been loking for any of the above lenses rather desperately. I would appreciate a heads up, or "go to this site" from anyone who might "discover" a Voigtlander lense for me. thank you very much. Jon.

I'll be more than happy to also repeat on this forum Jon, that these have gotten extremely rare and very expensive, especially in Nikon mount. To find a new one in box or a MINT one, even for silly money, has gotten rather unlikely these days. Some used ones come to market every now and then, most of them on ebay....just IMHO.

Hello to all again, I do believe that Klaus has hit the nail on the head with his posting to my thread, in which I am trying to enlist the aid of fellow MFLenses subscribers. I have been searching for quite awhile now for these Voigtlander lenses, and have only come up with, to put it nicely, "not as described" copies I "won" at auction on Ebay, all of which I received refund for by thankfully using PayPal.

I am still hopeful that perhaps a fellow member who may be "retiring from" photography, or may have seen one of the lenses I am searching for and for which they have no need, might send me the contact information. thanks to all once again who reads my posting.

Hi Jon,

Good luck with your search. I have the trio, and given how seldom they appear on eBay I think not even two weeks in Japan, inspecting photo stores, would be a fool-proof way of acquiring these. You are a collector I presume, which makes the task one requiring years of patience - if you insist that lens has to be mint in box with original papers. It took me 18 months to complete the trio, and I did not require original box and papers...

No official information is available from Cosina, but I have crowdsourced a research to collect serials, revealing production volumes for APO-Lanthars in Nikon Ai-S mount:

90/3.5 - 1400 to 1500 total
125/2.5 - 2200 to 2500 total
180/4 - 1000, possibly 1300 total

More information available in this topic: http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic,p,214921.html

Cosina release 90mm f3.5 SLII

http://www.cosina.co.jp/seihin/voigt/v-lens/sl2/90sl2/index.html

MSRP is US$645. You don't need to pay triple price.

Better wait patiently and I believe 125mm will come out one day.

I would be definitely glad at the day when Cosina kill these stupid prices for apo-lanthars by releasing their new lenses!! Smile

So jf56 have a patience and wait for upcoming news from Cosina.

god bless that day Smile

It seems that Mr. Kobayashi's press release has frightened some collectors, because in the last two days the amount of APO-Lanthars on eBay multiplied, all priced obsurdly high.

This guy is selling all three APO-Lanthars in Nikon mount http://shop.ebay.co.uk/ukkevin/m.html for a total price of a whopping USD 4 441 or 3275 EUR.

90/3.5 about 510 EUR *SOLD*
180/4 about 920 EUR *SOLD*
125/2.5 about 1840 EUR (must be a World record)

edit: Someone just bought 180/4 N/Ai-S from another seller for USD 1295 which is EUR 950 with today's rate of exchange: Click here to see on Ebay

Hi Vilhelm -- good luck! seriously!

I am just curious, .... you don;t have to answer this question, of course.. Smile

I have two.

The first copy has travelled a total of about 90 000 airline kilometers, climbed mountains to 4km high, been sprayed by salty surf on beaches in the Pacific and endured tropical rain in SE Asia. I'm keeping it for sentimental reasons Laughing and it would not fetch a price anyway as cosmetically it's not erm like new.

The second copy, for sale on eBay, is boxed in near mint condition with optional LH-75 hood - Click here to see on Ebay

edit: removed signature, added eBay link

In six days we will see what the global aftermarket is willing to pay for a Voigtländer 125/2.5 Macro APO-Lanthar in Nikon N/Ai-S mount. Lens is boxed and looks like it's seen very little use. Seller is in Japan, has great reputation and feedback. I have bought from him (great seller, fast shipping), this seller often lists expensive and rare Nikon items.

Listed from 0.99 and now at USD 898 - Click here to see on Ebay
