Hi all,
I'm looking for one of these famous lens Meyer-Optik Görlitz Makro Plasmat 105mm 2.7
Do you have a idea of a "real" price for this lens ?

Please don't post commentary like : "I bought mine in a lot for $5" or "I found mine in an estate for £15 with a Noct Nikkor and a Primoplan 55/1.4"

I hate this kind of commentary Twisted Evil

I saw some on the Bay but for very high prices ! ($4000 or more)

I guess this lens can be modified to mount on a Nikon camera or Canon ? right

Laurent

Someone modify this lens to fit hasselblad. It cost around $900 a couple years ago but the price now is indeterminable.

There is one for sale now modified for Exacta, another one to fit M42
What was the original use of this lens ? medium format ?

The silver one is probably for Primaflex 6x6. I am not sure.

It is a lens quite overrated and mostly bought for the "swirly bokeh" it produces. Technically and in terms
of image quality it is not up to par with similar lenses. I have one (the Kinoplasmat version, optical formula
identical), but in shorter focal length I use on my Lumix GH1

nearly fully open:

Thanks Klaus, you absolutely right, and it is indeed for the bokeh that I'm looking for one of these lens. But they are overpriced a lot.
there are also some Russian lenses with similar bokeh for much less money !

Don't forget the Zeiss Jena Biotar 1,4/75mm which is quite swirly and the Helios-40 (II) 1.5/85mm which also swirls nicely (both open or nearly open) - for a fraction of that price (and much better image quality. If you need macro, an additional helicoid solves that, or extention tubes.

Here some taken with the Biotar 1.4/75mm (slim version) last autumn:

Yes you right, but the biotar is not very cheap Laughing
but cheaper than the Makro Plasmat Wink
I love weird bokeh lenses, maybe I can open a thread for strange bokeh example pictures Laughing

Thanks for the links, I knew the first one but not the second one, very interesting, it's seems that he or they do a lot of modifications of old lenses !
I like that Laughing

I will open a thread for bokeh, but not nice or good bokeh as it's very subjective.
I want to open a thread for uncommon and strange bokeh Wink
