Another from the batch. A nice handling lens but unfortunately the rear element has marks that I'm unable to remove. It doesn't perform too badly though stopped down to F8.

40D, built-in flash and Helicoid, all handheld.

Looks good! And I bet it cost you an arm and a leg .... Very Happy

I think Wray enlarging lenses are fantastic value right now. I got a 105mm a while ago that is pretty sharp when stopped down to f8 - this was taken on a bellows on my K10d, on a tripod:

(Yes, I know there's a sensor mark at the top, too lazy to remove it just now!)

Easier using a 105 than a 50 though! And hand holding makes it even harder, so these results from the 50 are really impressive.

My 105's quite an old one, post-war I think, but not coated. It would be interesting to try their later versions.

Nice colours. I'm looking forward to trying mine out in good lighting.

I bought 4 enlarger lenses for 5gbp +5gbp shipping.

Well, four lenses for ten quid delivered ain't bad ! Almost good enough to be seen as a bargain by a Yorkshireman now living in Scotland Very Happy ( But remember, "t' best price is for nowt")

But more seriously, the colours from my 105 Supar are a little "un-natural" compared to others taken at the same time with other lenses. Rich or even vivid seem fair descriptions. Or maybe "lacking in subtlety" is another way to put it. I must get it out and do some more tests when I have time.

Anybody else in the forum got Wray lenses?

I wouldn't complain at too much saturation. When it's added in PP it looks false but that pic is impressive.
