Today it was windy, so I decided to visit a nearby wind farm, which started operation in June. Seven 3 MW Alstom turbines.

#1 Zoom-Nikkor 50-135/3.5 Ais lens at f/5.6


#2 Zoom-Nikkor 50-135/3.5 Ais lens at f/32 (1/13 sec) to get some movement in the barley and the turbine blades.


#3 MC Zenitar-N 16/2.8 at f/8.


#4 MC Zenitar-N 16/2.8 at f/8.


#5 Nikkor ED 180/2.8 Ais lens at f/2.8.


#6 Nikkor ED 180/2.8 Ais lens at f/2.8.


#7 Nikkor ED 180/2.8 Ais lens at f/2.8.

Nice photos. Interesting to see them close up. Thanks. I've been in Łódź Poland for the last ten days, while they have a few there I didn't see ONE working. Nor the last couple of times either.

Thank You Philslizzy. These things are HUGE, the towers are 90 metres high, and the span is 110 metres. When I visited the farm, six of the seven were in operation.
