Matt, it's always very difficult to recommend something for somebody totally unknown. However, if you are looking for a 12mm MF lens on a crop sensor camera (APSC/DX) like the NEX-7, then there are not many options available.
My first choice would be the Voigtlaender Ultra-Wide 12mm/F5.6 as this is a very small, sharp and well corrected lens and fit's more to a rather small camera like the NEX.
