Blades come in a verity of shapes.
Images From google image search.
There are usually 2 tabs on a blade, 1 is in a fixed position, the other is moved via a ring with typically a slot for the other tab to fit in.
This is what most 3-9 blade aperture blades look like.
All of which look like this on one side.
And like this on the other.
High blade count apertures 14-20+
Look like this when taken apart, putting it back together is a big pain in the butt.
This is close to what the double aperture blade looks like that the OP was asking about.

Not if you don't have to, but it can be done, as I have taken 2 apart to clean the oil out before the optics became contaminated, it's quite easy till they start to overlap, then the trick is to keep the ones that are done in their proper locations as you add new ones under them to their proper locations, once that's done, it's just a matter of joining the aperture to the lens body and having everything lined up. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

I've taken apart and successfully put back together my Topcor R 135/3.5 which has 12 'L' shaped blades,
and my Carsen 135/2.8 has 15 blade 'C' type.
The 'L' type seem to be an attempt at getting a rounder small aperture. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

I have some apertures from lenses that were pulled apart because they were already broken when bought.I will practice on these and see if I can put them back together.
