Where the Germans shine :-)

A little while ago I took two of my German buddies to the military aircraft museum not far away from where I live.

First pic was taken with my Elmarit-R 35/2.8, the latter two with my Zeiss Planar 50/1.4. Those two are my favourites, despite the reflection of the glass (did not have polarizer).

Edit: dunno why the last two pics don't always show. If you copy the location and enter it in the address bar, they are fine here. Anyways, it's the last two in this gallery: http://picasaweb.google.com/c.a.stones/AirborneMuseum

Yeah, I noticed that Picasa does not always work nicely. Therefor I also put in a link to the gallery itself:

The last three pics were the ones I posted here. Maybe I'll try Flickr next time... Confused

Hope you don't mind - I've just checked and corrected the URLs. My version of Picasa has just updated to Picasa3. It took an age - it went through all my pics modifying the thumbnails. Perhaps the URLs on PicasaWeb have changed.

Very nice pics BTW !

I don't really get it.

The difference is that you have added
Code:
/s800/
to the last bit of the URL. This looks like the size, because if I modify this to s1024 or s1280, then I will get larger versions of the picture. 1280 is the largest available, cos that is the upload size I used.

Mine:
Code:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5ZGAH5Z41qU/SdUizLfXqVI/AAAAAAAABX8/PLwxhlPqrjE/_MG_4781.jpg

Yours:
Code:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5ZGAH5Z41qU/SdUizLfXqVI/AAAAAAAABX8/PLwxhlPqrjE/s800/_MG_4781.jpg

When I copy the URL of my posting to a new tab, the picture shows, even without the /s800/ etc. But when it is embedded in my posting it doesn't work... Confused

Anyway, I re-re-re-re-edited my post with your suggestions and I hope it works now for you all.

Regards,

Crispian

Neither do I. I simply looked at the URL(s) posted in this thread and that(those) given for the picture(s) on PicasaWeb. I didn't appreciate the significance of the /s800/ but I'm sure you're right.
