Today, while driving from one location to the next, I was passing by a shop which had lots of vintage gear on table just in front of the store, sitting outside in the sun. Most of it were either Tokinas or Tamrons or other obscure third party lenses; in addition a few Konicas, and some nice Canon FD lenses. Apart from those there were three nice lenses I didn't have yet. Nothing special at all, but hey: three "new" lenses!!
Nedless to say, I bought them ...
I don't have much Pentax or Olympus glass, so the Pentax A 2.8/24mm was a welcome addition to the A 2.8/20mm I already had. Actually the Olympus Zuiko 2.8/135mm fits well into the huge gap between my Zuiko 1.4/50mm and the Zuiko 4.5/300mm ... and since two or three weeks ago I had found the tiny Zuiko 3.5/21mm, we now have a nice series of 21mm, 28mm, 50mm, 135mm and 300mm Zuikos - in addition to a few zooms (3.6/35-70, 3.5-4.5-35-105, 4/70-150).
I wonder what's next ...

Thank you Walter.
Apparently the EC series 2.8/135 is optically identical to the E series.
Did Sun make them too?

That's a nice lens! I was offered one some years ago, for about CHF 900.--, and I did some testing. Since - at that time - I didn't really need something longer than my MinAF 2.8/300mm APO, and since I did have the 1.4x APO converter just in case, I couldn't justify buying an additional heavy lens. Only two or three years later, however, i decided to buy the heavy nFD 2.8/400mm which gave me - together with the 1.4x converter - both the 400mm and the 600mm range I needed for a specific book project ...

Any professional photographer i know has experiences the same. My A900 set (including expensve lenses) was stolen three times, and two of these thefts came at a time when the A900 & grip was still about CHF / USD 4000.-- ... Last time was three years ago in Rome, inside a guarded church. There were three north african thiefs; one of them was talking bullshit with the guard, and then the second was overthrowing one of the heavy benches (very lud noise ...). I thought what the fuck!! and went there, helping to re-erect the bench. Meanwhile the third guy left with my A900 & Zeiss 16-35mm ... Interestingly, he overlooked the box with the expensive lenses!!

No idea about the performance of this lens, but I stumbled upon a mint one for a very good price. |

A new Tammy SP adaptall-2 90/2.5 52B to replace the old one that doesn't focus to infinity unless it feels like it. A bit of a gamble. Cheaply bought from Japan, but it operates fine and the glass looks clear.
