All USD, so there are some deals out there.

Are you sure it is a Rokkor-X 40/2?

Perhaps he meant 45mm f2.

A f1.4 / 150mm mirror lens a nice friend from Asia pointed me to.
Needs some serious maintenance, but I took the chance as it
is a Ultraviolet-Visible-Infrared mirror lens... just right down my
alley... Wink

[yes, one-point-four speed, very unusual for a mirror lens!!!]

I have lenses from the same maker, wrote about it here:

Congrats on adding another exotic piece. That link was fascinating on these UV/IR lenses. Thanks.

Haha, no, I've been looking for so many 40mm lenses I instinctively typed 40, I've corrected my error.

865mm process lens, probably made by Schneider, but barrel is unmarked, it came out of an industrial machine. I'm making a rig to shoot the moot. Smile

Picked up a Canon nFD 200m f/4 Macro. Wasn't a bargain, but reasonably priced. A swing towards the other end from the Rubinar.

After selling my lens and some other pieces of gear that I didn't use much, i bought some others in the last month or so:

#1 C/Y Sonnar 2.8/85 AEG

#2 Schneider Retina Xenar 2.8/50

#3 A long lusted for 1961 KMZ Orion-15

#4 An Enna Lithagon (about which I know almost nothing)

#5 And an amazing CZJ Prakticar 1.4/50 which is already among my all time favorite 50's

Sonnar, Prakticar and Orion were on the list from some time, while the Xenar and Lithagon were so beautiful and cheap I couldn't pass on. Hoping for some break in rain and work to test them properly.

Which version you get? The ML version without the tripod mount is much better than the old version.

Yes, the ML one was the one I sought after, and I took a chance on this one. Turned out to be the older 520* model.
Oh well, but it wasn't expensive at $55 and was complete with the set of filters.

Missiltronics 48mm f/1.9 (m39, 28.8 reg.dist)

Flektagon 25mm F4 which is exquisite, I prefer it loads over the Olympus 24mm f2.8 I have but this is most likely due to copy variance
Canon 58mm F1.2 which is OK, I still prefer my Minolta 50mm F1.4
Trioplan 100mm F2.8 which has some front element damage but still works nice enough for the bubbles;)
And a 40mm F1.7 from a yashica electro DX that I converted to sony e mount, its very good from F2 onwards. Its very similar to other yashica lenses that I've used in regards to the nisen bokeh I find they produce. It has a very small profile on the NEX mount and doesn't need much as far as converting goes which is nice.

Some nice acquisitions here.
After a rather dry spell, after a ridiculous storm of lens bargains, I have finally had a lucky/good day.
Picked up a SMC Pentax 4/17 for $150 inc shipping and a m42 Primoplan 1.9/58 for $250.
Not bargains, but good deals and I've had excess lens money due to lack of finding deals.
I'll have to decide between the SMC Takumar and Pentax 4/17, but the primoplan will probably stay to complement my mint copy as a user.
can't wait to receive them.
Also considering pulling trigger on another Ultron 1.8/50 BM, not that I need more but condition seems exceptional.
3 lenses/$550 in a day might be overboard, but....
Here's my acquisitions that are on the way..

What's special about the primoplan 58? It's going pretty high (~250$). I've never actually seen image samples of it.

@vanylepep: Primoplan was a rather high end lens in its day. It has garnered a cult following, a la Trioplan, mostly due to its smooth and gorgeous bokeh, that can be slightly bubbly. It is a great lens for overall artistic photography, and great for portraits In my opinion. Not overly sharp or contrasty, but great Microcontrast and just has that special something.
There's a 75mm 1.9 and 100mm 1.9 that fetch sky high prices.
~250 for an m42 primoplan in good condition is a rather good deal, as the prices keep jumping.

I'd supply you with some samples, but I'm confined to my phone for time being, but here's s couple samples I posted recently for the lens I was selling. Not great shots by any means, but gives you an idea.

There's always flickr and other internet sources for more/better sample images.
If you get a chance to get a nice copy (haze cleaning marks common due to soft glass), I would not hesitate. Nice copies can go 400-500. I sold my rough one, with a dented filter ring and haze-essentially bargain condition-for $315.
It is a good investment, and a fantastic lens to use.

I passed on a Yashica Electro with a 40/1.7, Would you, could you, please post some pics of and from it? Thanks in advance.
