It certainly is - as you show.
A wonderful lens, and uncommon.

I have buy, once again, the tele apo zenitar M 135/2,8. Great manual lens. And a Sony GM 85/1,4 (I noted that with my a1 camera in the manual focus (with this lens) is a lot better than AF use, so I will use manual focus). Great lens very sharp.

While the question is not directed to me, I will answer for myself.
I use mine with a Miranda Sensomat and film, but with digital, I made my own using a series of parts sourced from bits and pieces as well as the front attachment to some Miranda extension tubes.
I use mine on Fujifilm digital

This one. Got it off Ebay, from a german seller specializing in adapters (the pic attached is copied from the actual offer). Works great.

The TC is one of the more reliable Konica SLRs, maybe because of its limited time scale (1/8s to 1/1000s only). And the Macro-Hexanon, especially if in a nice state, is a very good lens indeed. Surprisingly good I have to say since it is a simple Tessar [4/3] construction ...!

Some more information here: http://www.artaphot.ch/konica-ar/objektive/440-konica-hexanon-55mm-1-3-5-macro

Have fun Wink

Tokina Tele Auto 5.6/300mm has arrived - seems to surprisinly good at first glance:

Then there was this Pentacon 4/200mm on the flea market ...

And finally a well preserved Chinon Memotron with a Chinon 2.8/35mm, also on the local flea market:

Hopefully some more stuff will arrive soon, but let's be patient Wink

Just added another 35-70 f/3.5 Macro Minolta MD for £20 +postage including lens hood.

I'll keep the labs hood and whichever of the two I now own is best and sell the other I think.

If both your lenses are the latest "Macro" version, the chances of having a "better" copy are pretty slim. I compared a few of them on 24 MP FF - all were indistinguishable. The early MD-II however seems to have s lightly different computation ...

I meant cosmetic condition/optics condition. I don't expect much difference and my existing one is pretty pristine to be fair (though missing the lens hood).

At £20 I just couldn't let the new one go by though and even in the worst case I get a lens hood at a slightly inflated price!

I have a normal non macro (same in appearance with macro) version and the macro version with haze in the cemented group (encapsulated group), do both use same optics so I could replace the haze group on macro with the one without macro that it has no issues?

I have no reliable information on that. I have compared a dozen or so Minolta MD 3.5/35-70mm on 24 MP FF - two MD-II samples which were visibly weaker and about five samples each of the "Macro" vs "non-Macro" MD-III. Pixel peeping (i. e. only visible when stacking the different images upon each other and clicking through them at 100%) I would say the Macro is even better than the non-Macro. I have no idea however whether this is caused by better quality control, a slightly imroved design or simply ageing issues ...

I personally would take a few test images under controlled and reproducible (!) conditions (e. g. an artificial light indoor scene), do the replacement, do the same test shot again, and decide ... I really assume it should work.

If you look carefully at the lens sections of the MD-II vs MD-III published by Minolta, they differ slightly (overlap them to see the differences):
http://www.artaphot.ch/minolta-sr/objektive/186-minolta-35-70mm-f35

On the MD-III, the first (front) lens as well as the sixth lens have gotten thinner and less curved while the fourth lens has become slightly thicker. I'd guess they either just have adjusted the radii, or even used a higher refractive glass for lenses 1 and 6 in the MD-III version (which would reduce the monochromatic aberrations).
