SMC Pentax 45-125mm f/4.
I like the images I’ve seen of this lens, and I think it’s focal range is actually quite practical. This lens + 1 wide angle of choice is all I need on most of my trips.

Like 1 Like 1 Congrats useful practical range on FF and crop imo!

The Petri FT EE has arrived - here it is:

Non-working, as correctly described by the seller: Shutter doesn't fire, even though it is cocked (as a quick inspection via the open backside reveals). OK ... Let's open the bottom; just four screws and the mechanism is visible.

Fiddling with some the levers near the central part soon is freeing up the first shutter curtain - which now slooooowly starts moving across the frame. Not much later also the second curtain is follwing. Cocking / releasing the shutter for some time - maybe 50 times - makes it travelling quite fast again, but the mirror still doesnt move.

Looking carefully at the driveshaft reveals that A) it is somehow connected to several functions including mirror movements, and that B) only its right part (with the gear) is turning when I'm cocking the shutter. Well ... [EDIT:Removed by Moderator]*!

Inspecting closely all the parts, and after some time I notice that there's a tiny hole, and a spring that doesn't engage ... OK, makes sense now!

Re-engaging the spring is pretty easy (even though the hole is really tiny, much less than 1mm diameter):

Yahoo ... the mirror starts moving!! Not really well yet, but ... Quite soon though, something else makes a "clutching" sound, and *boom* the mirror flips up and down in full speed! Camera sucessfully repaired Wink

Looks like botched repair to mirror spring from leftover solder. Congrats on repair!
