Hi!

Found this machine for 10€. It looks cool and it works Smile
I've never developed film before but I think this has got something to do with it... What is this exactly? Can I use this with 35mm film?

I never make print due no space in my small flat, but shoot on film, develop film , scan and publish circle make me always happy , much exciting than shoot on digital.

It's a Meopta Opemus II enlarger. A good one, made in Czechoslovakia.

You can buy old boxes of photo paper for pennies on ebay.

There will be one or more film holders - they would be put in that 'sandwich' between the lamp and the lens. It is the film holder that determines what film it holds (just like with cameras): if yours doesn't have a 35mm holder, you ought to be able to get one second hand.

Thank you for replies!

I'll buy some film and some film developing kit! This sounds like a lot of fun!

So I need 35mm film holder...
Is this a right one? It cost 4 times than the whole machine...

Could I make some adjustments to this 6x6 film holder to make it 35mm?

Ok, thanks!

If I change 6x6 to 35mm must I change the lens too? What is that red filter on this machine?

Find a website that explains darkroom enlargement, I bet there are some suomeksi kanssa.

Photo paper is red-insensitive, so the filter is to make the light red.

Question: what lens is on the enlarger? The usual enlarging lenses are ~ the same as the 'normal' lens for the format. I.e. 50mm for 135 film. 75mm for 6x6... But really what you lose by using a 75mm for 135 is magnification.

Based on this article, your carrier adjusts to 35mm!

The lens is 4.5 75mm Meopta Belar.

Could you please help me on this one? Could you provide a link to ebay or give me an idea what to search?

I have EOS 300V and Yashica Electro 35. I ordered batteries to EOS and found out that there is a 5 years old slide film inside. Should I shoot it first or is it any good anymore?

So now I need B&W film, film developing kit and photo paper. Then I have to learn howto make photos...

If this turns out nicely, I'll definetely will buy some M42 camera and start shooting film again Cool

Thank you all for your help and patience!
