Arghh too many questions ...any would do as long as it is not rubbish....The Russian one springs to mind "zenitar 16" M42 mount.I just want to experience the round look but I don't know how it would look using the Pentax K200D....Or any other brand name fisheye like a pentax or tokina, that may pop up on ebay at a reasonable price. _________________ Moira, Moderator

If you want ultra wide but still rectilinear, go for the Tokina 17mm. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Or the Samyang 14mm, which might not cost much more than the Tokina, given what they're selling for these days. _________________ Michael

Or the Tamron SP 17/3.5.
All three of those are good, although the Samyang is best IMO as it is fast and short enough to be handheld at night at reasonable ISO settings _________________ Graham - Moderator

yes it is.. and together with the "Hollywood" it keeps me from getting any other 28mm lens
I just got a 1.2/57 Hexanon now too, this fisheye is the only lens left on my wishlist. Without you I would have finished... stop posting photos from such exceptional lenses! _________________ Regards

My advice: sell many lenses and get that first one. It's the cheapest of the super-lenses, and I suspect it's the best.
|
The cheapest perhaps but still extremely expensive!! Not worth the price for me. |
In that case, I'd get a 28 ultron. A nex without a fast, small 28 is like being 18 with no girlfriend. |
True.
At the moment have good and compact but not fast (Pentax-M 2.8/28 or Tamron 2.5/28 ) or good and fast but not compact (Rokkor 2/28 ).
I do have a PEN Zuiko F 1.8/38m, though, which can serve as a normal lens on a NEX well. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

Actually, there is a whole category of lenses that I can do little but dream about for now: LTM lenses for my Canon rangefinder, preferably Canon-made ones. I'd like to get a couple of their wide angles, like a 28mm and a 35mm, and an ultrawide, if they ever made such a thing. Plus the 50mm f/1.2, and a fast 100mm. I've seen too many of the beautiful photos that uhoh7 has taken with his Canon LTM lenses and NEX. It's all his fault. I don't have a mirrorless camera yet to use them with, but I do have a Canon rangefinder, so they would get used. _________________ Michael
