Hi guys!
I want to spend some money on a fast 135mm in the near future.
I already had the Porst 135mm 1.8 and sold it because I wasn't happy with the sharpness. This assumption was sadly based on the wrong lens hood and the lacking knowledge of myself. When I revisit the old pictures I kept that where made with this lens, it wasn't that bad at all.
So, I'm shopping again for something in this range. From what I read and have seen, the Nikkor/Minolta 135mm f2 are better but also much more expensive and they don't seem to be superior enough to pay the extra prices (tell me if I'm wrong!).
In the price range of the Porst/Weltblick 135mm f1.8 (200€), there also is the Soligor 135mm f2. What do you guys think of it in comparison?
What would you buy?
Cheers,

While its not quite as fast, I'd go with the m42 smc takumar 135mm f2.5 version 2 lens.
Its a super sharp and contrasty lens that sells for $200-$250.
To see a pic of the lens I am talking about, search ebay item # 300829479900 _________________ ===========

I forgot to mention, I specifically do NOT recommend the smc takumar version 1 lens or
the non smc (super takumar) version. Also avoid the takumar bayonet lens, its horrible. _________________ ===========

Thanks for the recommendation!
I was also thinking about the Canon FD 135mm f2.5, the Takumar or the Vivitar 135mm f2.3 but I want an F2 or F1.8 lens! _________________ www.MoWePhoto.de

An f2.4 or f2.5 lens with superior coatings and high quality optics will problably be as bright wide open as a mediocre F2. _________________ ===========

You may consider the Zeiss 135/1.8 for sony/minolta mount - not sure if they have in other mount for MF.
or looking for a pentax A*135/1.8 - I am mentioned 'looking' - the price is out of my reach.
Personally, I would like to try the nikkor 135/2 DC.
f1.8 had been in my wish list for a while, but never really get into it.
The pentax K 135/2.5 and Smc Tak 135/2.5 v2 do the jobs just fine.
Do you really 'need' f1.8 ? _________________ La migliore cura di LBA imparare una nuova lingua. Le meilleur remde de LBA est d'apprendre une nouvelle langue. La mejor cura del LBA es aprender una nueva lengua. |
