Not been home long from work, and although breezy there is a sun in the sky this early evening (or late afternoon).

I decided to try and get the same image with both of the Welmy's, the fist two photographs are with the new addition:

ISO 200, wide open, 1/1250 sec - adjusted and resized with the Serif program

These next two photographs are taken with the first Welmy I got:

ISO 200, wide open, 1/11250 sec - adjusted and resized with the Serif program

These are indeed very similar, when it is not breezy and the plants are not swaying these are a very sharp lenses. An exact manufacturer would be good, but probably the obscurity makes it more interesting.

I certainly like these branded lenses, and to me, they are worth every penny and maybe a little more.

I wonder are you a maker of Serif program? Can you recommend it to MFLenses members (what are it's highlights)?

Pancolart,

No, I do not work for Serif, it just happens to be the program I have (Serif photoplus x5) as I cannot afford Lightroom or Photoshop by Adobe.

As it happens, I had purchased something off of Serif, and I kept getting emails regarding this program, when I received one saying I could get this for £9.95, I really couldn't say no. So I bought 2 copies, one for me & another for a mate. I still think they are £9.95 (will have to check the expiry date of the email), plus delivery.

Not quite as good as Adobe Photoshop CS, but it does have a lot of the features, supports RAW and has curve-based colour correction, it is easy to use and I can't grumble as it cost next to nothing.

If anyone wants a copy, PM me, I will check the email tomorrow and see if the offer is still valid. It came with the manual and panorama plus & photo projects. It works on my Wiindows 7 pro (x64) OS.

UPDATE: I have just remotely logged into the works server to check my email, it still pops up as active (delivered to me is £12..95), not sure what the carriage would be to ship it out to non UK addresses (Less than £14.00), but great value for money.

Thank you for additional info. I found it interesting how you mentioned under every post this program usage. I agree that PP software's AI is frequently (more and more as technology progress) responsible for final photo results and should be credited and mentioned beside the lens used. Sadly market is monopolized by Photoshop and mostly one assumes good stuff is done by it. Obviously there are exceptions.

Wow, the serial number on these two Welmys are remarkably close.

Just to say, the Welmy's actually have a 6 digit serial number, I have got into the habit of removing 2 or 3 digits of the serial number due to (I think it was a thread on here), of unscrupulous people claiming that lenses were theirs and had been stolen.

Perhaps I should leave them in and not be too paranoid, but one can never be too careful.

Pancolart,

During my registering with this forum, I noticed that people always mentioned Lightroom or Photoshop if they had processed their photographs, as I thought this was the norm, I mentioned the manufacturer, but not the program as I was unsure if that was the correct etiquette.

For my limited budget, the program came along at the right time, and as being a novice in using this sort of software for photographic adjustment, it fits my needs and can be as complex as you wish it to be. I do try however hard not to manipulate the image too much as it could make me a lazy photographer if I rely on it too much. Hence why my photo's are all over the place.
