My big and heavy 5D has arrived so it's time for seriously considering an ultra-wide. As 5D costs a bit much I can't spent 600USD for now, so what can I get for likely 200$? Nothing? Smile

How about Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 17/3.5 ?
I always planned buying one but it looks like I've forgot in this topic Smile
I just want ultra-wide and as I won't shoot serious architectural photos being perfect distortion-wise is not the top priority. Maybe I can shoot at concerts but I can leave with f:3.5 with the help of ISO3200 so this one is not also a priority.

Have you considered the Sigma 14mm f3.5?...I bought an FD mount one and converted it to M42 mount.

14mm sounds really cool Smile

The Tamron looks pretty good for the money (around $150 ish last time I looked), or you might get the Tokina 17mm RMC for only a bit over $100 and if you'd rather go fisheye the Zenitar is under $200 USD...
