I am looking for a Soligor I-S mount for Pentax K mount.
I have a 200mm f2.8 Soligor lens with a Nikon mount. I do use it from time to time but the lens is heavy and its not an ideal solution to try to hand hold the lens onto my K100d and take a photograph at the same time.
Would swap Nikon Mount

I checked your message posted @ Pentax forum. I wrote my comment/question there but temporary didn't check for your response. This "I-S" mount is a quite puzzle for me. I suggest you to show pictures of lens and mount here too.
Looks that "I-S" and "U/S" is the same kind of mount _________________ Cheers, Voytek |

Further, as your sample is a N/Ai this mount would date from the Ai era... I didn't see Soligor in the camera store ads I've scanned, so I'll take a look when I get home. _________________ -Jussi

What follows is my post from the "other" forum

Edit - Checked the U/S ebay add. Looks identical. Cheerz for the info!
"The Soligor 200mm lens has a detachable mount. It is similar to the Tamron Adapall system but is unique.
I wandered about the mount being T4 or TX but the differences it could see in various pictures made me unsure. Finally in response to a post I was informed that it was a proprietary Soligor system called I-S.
Below are couple of shots of the lens and mount.
Lens with mount removed
Mount - Camera side (note Nikon AI designation)
Mount - The lens attaches to this side.
I am not sure how many lenses were produced with this mount but there is very little information anywhere on them.
I have tried to "mount" the lens to the K100D but it is a bit too heavy to then use easily.
I have also used an Ai-PK adapter (c/w optics for infinity focus) but it was quite poor - lots of flare - so I've removed the optics and I now use this as an extension tube/ adapter for my Micro Nikkor 55mm (Great combination)
That pretty much all I know about the Soligor I-S Mount.
