Hehe, like I said, someone with that commitment is not the target audience for this lens Wink

poilu, I wouldn't judge the lens until some testing will be performed. 50/1.8 lenses arey typically based on 6 optical elements. The 25/0.95 has 11 optical elements. That's at least nice potential.

I also checked some noise comparisions and with the exception of 5D-II most of the FF or APS-H cameras shows more noise at ISO1600 than current m4/3 cameras at ISO400.

Olympus E-PL1 MSRP is €599, Voigtlander 25/0.95 is €899, that's €1498 in total.
Canon EOS 5D-II MSRP is €2499, Canon 50/1.8 ( Rolling Eyes ) is €100, that's €2599 in total.

That's 73% more expensive...

yes some test will be interesting
I wrote some argument that this lens could be compared to a 50:1.8 on FF
but this lens can also be compared to a 35:1.2 on APS-C !!
I don't think such option exist for Nex5 or other APS
for €1500 a E-PL1 and 25/0.95 is attractive like honey
and Voigtlander will surely bring more jewels for m4:3 Very Happy

Um, wonder if the image circle cover APSC and can be adapter to NEX in the future? I don't want to buy a great lens and get stuck in just one system...

Well, if the image circle will just cover the image circle of the m4/3 sensor with a tiny bit of wiggle room, you'll get an image circle that is just a tad smaller than an APS-C.

This is about the coverage that a lot of C-mount cine lenses in the 25mm range have on micro-4/3, and they're OK to use as long as you shoot wide open. My guess, therefore, is that as long as you shoot wide open (and why the hell wouldn't you with this lens?), you will get acceptable results on NEX. We just need Kipon to make m4/3->E-mount adapters Smile
