I'm looking for my firts RF camera and I'm really liking Voigtlander Bessa's looking.

I know that Bessa-L is cheaper and to start maybe it is better but Bessa-R could use amazing lens (I don't know if Bessa-L does it too).

I'm newbie in RF cameras and I'm reading some reviews.

Konica Hexar AF looks great too and it isn't too much expensive.

What do you think about these and what prices you think would be fair in Europe?

EDIT: Wrong section! Please change it to the right one.

Start with a Yashica Electro 35 , perfect camera and dirt cheap.
It produced me better result than any other with cheap film.

I'd like to get one with intermutable lenses. I know Konica Hexar can't do that but Voigtlander Bessa-L looks me "cheap" and I can get some nice M39 lenses.

Am I right? Embarassed

yes, right. I am happy owner of a Bessa-L with a 15mm Heliar lens.

Bessa-L has no built in rangefinder, you can use only with external one or with superwide lenses like me.

Russian rangefinders are great and cheap ones, Bessa-R serie also.

Lazzaros,

Bessa-L does not have a range-finder though,
Bessa-Rxx do have one. (xx= , 2, 3A, 3M, 4A, 4M)

Oh, I just get an idea from Koji, why do you not looking Contax G1 at keh.com , one of the greatest camera.

Koji I didn't understand what you want to say. It isn't a rangefinder camera?

G1 is a little bit expensive right now :S

Wait a bit more a bargain G1 below 200 USD. Real bargain is Zorki-4 for example.

Bought Bessa-L for 52€ like new Smile

I'm looking for a good lens now...

Could I use any kind of M39 lenses? Even the older one?

Unfortunately not all from older ones, some of them hit light meter sensor like Jupiter-12 it's going to deep into body. Andy (F16Sunshine ) able to answer to you with more details.

Bessa-L does not have a finder, so range-finder (ie. distance measuring
small finder partch which is linked to lens' helicoid mechanism) is not
there for a precise focusing. Of course you can use wide angle lenses
by guessing distance to the object. Sorry for a late answer. Embarassed

the all black kit looks cool but from what i've read elsewhere, certain metal parts have been replaced with plastic

from a user pov, i'd pick the chrome one. i actually like the heavier weight and i'm prolly misled to think metal parts last longer and can take more hits! Razz more importantly, chrome is lighter on my wallet Cool

15mm is too wide for me, i'd get the 25mm snapshot.
