Voightlander Prominent Adapter?

I was fortunate to stumble upon a Voightlander Prominent with the 50mm f/2 Ultron lens the other day. I'm still in the middle of my first roll through it, so I have no sample images to share yet.

I shoot Canon digital, and was trying to see if there is a way to adapt the (incredibly odd) Prominent mount to Canon EF. It doesn't appear as though there are any straight VP tp EF adapters out there, only VP to Leica (M39) that I can tell.

Since Leica has a 47mm flange to focal plane distance, and Canon EF is 44mm, is there a possibility of double adapting? VP to Leice to EF? Or is there some other way?

Also, and this is a minor point, would anyone know what size lens cap this takes? I'm thinking it's about 46mm, but I don't have one to try.

Thanks!

Leica R SLR mount is 47mm
Leica M39 RF mount is 28.8mm

The Prominent adapter adapts to M39.

I don't think it's possible to adapt that Ultron to a digital SLR, the back focus is too short.

Voigtlander never made that version of the Ultron for SLR, instead they produced the Septon. When they did later produce Ultrons for SLR it was a redesigned version.

Congrats on the Prominent and Ultron, I've always wanted one but they are kinda rare and pricey so hard for me to justify as I already have a Contax and Sonnars.

Thanks Ian. I had a feeling the register would be too short. I'll see how the first roll or two goes, and then maybe I'll just use it as it is. Or... may be a good excuse to pick up a mirrorless. Hmmm... Laughing

That really is a nice camera and lens combo.
