This recently acquired iteration is a Minolta SR mount and is the original version

Here are a few quick snapshots (all but first are macro shots) taken on a Sony A6000 trying it out in morning light. Some basic PP of exposure, brightness, and a small saturation bump (hopefully not too overdone)

It seems there's something wrong with your lens? It's quite a while ago since I owned one of these lenses, but I remember it to be quite a bit sharper and contrastier. Also, the amount of aberrations seems to be quite wild, most notably in image #3.

Mee too.

I have several copies of the original Vivitar S1 70-210mm on the attic, and I should be able to shoot a few images tomorrow.
