Hi, Fellow Repair Folks!

I am in the need for some help, a repair manual or similar knowledge.
I have this fantastic Vivitar Series 1 135mm 1:2.3 lens in mint condition, exept for the dried out grease in the helicoil. I managed to take it apart, without ruining it, but my problem is how to adjust the lens after I have had it taken apart for re-greasing.
I did not notice that the barrel with the inner helix consists of two parts, and I did turn them an unknown number of turns before I noticed it.
I have searched the net thin, visited Boggy: boggys.co.uk/page21.html and similar with no luck.

LATEST UPDATE, BREAKING NEWS!

I resolved it myself, by "Trial and Error".
