Was wondering if its possible to mount this lens on a Canon EOS and still reach infinity? Also was wondering about the quality of this lens, what would a mint copy sell for in US Dollars? Thanks for any help

Minolta MC, I believe, does not focus to infinity on Canon dSLR. If I remember right the lens can be converted.

More often I have read about somebody converting the mount on the Canon camera to make it into a camera that uses Minolta lenses, see:
http://digitalrokkor.altervista.org/why.html

I had bought mine in F mount for about 75 Euro + shipping one year ago.
Mine is made by 'Kiron', the Komine made one is said to be somewhat superior.

see the photos I have taken with this lens here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/sets/72157612125157920/

I believe that both Nikkor f2.8 and Takumar f3.5/24mm are superior, but well, slower lenses

First if you can convert to EOS mount. I use a Rokkor 58 1.2 on my 5D.
Second, change the mount and must remove the 0.5 mm lens
Canon works with a 44mm focal plane. Minolta, 43.5mm.-
