The lens is perfect but also very expensive!

This price is unreal even for a like new copy.
One should spend around 400 Eur for this lens.
I spent even less for my two copies, but prices of this lens have raised enormously in the last year.

Pricier than the Canon 35/1.4L which does get good reviews for its bokeh..

Canon is one thing and Zeiss is another, especially in the wide angles department where Zeiss excels and Canon notoriously sucks.

you're right! the distagon 35/1.4 really does much better than the 35/1.4L... i should tell my friend not to buy the canon anymore Very Happy Very Happy

although the canon tele's are generally quite highly regarded..
