Conclusion: this lens is pretty good IMO. It's close focusing ability makes is a lot of fun to play with. Straight out of the camera, the images look very good (no post processing needed). It's very compact as well. Definitely a lens I will take with me a lot.

Interesting - can you show us two images shooting the same subject side-by-side ....
1) with the Sigma Super Wide II and
2) with another lens of your choice, having "that something"??
I'm sure that would be interesting to many of us, including me!

How does the Sigma compare to the Distagon 25mm? |
we`ll have to see, i am waiting for the sigma , but i am also very curious , for now i only have an early full metal nikkor 24mm that needs f11 for extreme corners on 24mp sony FF (zeiss about the same, but i remember it had some more details overall) |

There's no doubt that the Super Wide II is among the best vintage 24mm lenses of its time - comparable to the Minolta MD-III 2.8/24mm and the Canon new FD 2.8/24mm (both not shown here). It's certainly no coincidence that those three lenses mentioned (MD-III, nFD and Sigma) are the newest computations ...
