Maybe I'm a cheap one but I love Meyer lenses more than other more "named" ones. I don't know why, they're usually not very sharp, but they render reality in a "human" way, can't say what technically is, maybe bokeh, maybe their microcontrast ratio.

Some of Meyer lenses are very, very nice , some of not. I rate this lens to average old lens. Not bad, not good..

I guess the 4/3 Oly DSLR is the only DSLR you can use an Altix lens on, right?

Don't know I never checked out register distance. With Oly all SLR lenses can work.
