Attila inspired me with his zoo adventures !

I had a free day (wife and kids away for a day, how often does that happen?) So what does a photo obsessive do ?

These from the SF Zoo today, with heavy San Francisco summer fog, the light wasn't very good.

Soligor (Tamron) 350/5.6 preset. This is a very good lens, a true "wundertute", sharp at 5.6, light, handy, easy to "hit" focus, I have a very high success rate with this - all shots at 5.6

Not spot on, but I got the critter yelling -

I figured he's just like me, he has to have something to read at bedtime -

Through dirty glass -

Soligor (Komine I think) 105/2.8 preset - Its a t-mount, but it does not focus to infinity. Very strange. But it works OK to 50 m/150 feet, more or less.

Good old Super-Takumar 28/3.5

I'm with Poilu! Evil or Very Mad Wink So many gorgeous shots, my picks are the
tuskless rhino, the peacock in full display, and the last one of flamingos(?)
I forgot, the bear, too!

Thanks for sharing, Luis! (I gotta find this lens!)

Great shots - too favourites many to individually highlight.

Wonderful pictures Luis. You make it look so easy.

That shot of the Malibu Stork reminds me of my old headmistress on a bad hair day Smile

Great shots. You and Attila should both work for the zoo! Laughing
