#2 and #8 are real masterpieces, Bob.

You have really a very good photographic eye when you "get loose" and photograph out of instinct instead of by rational construction.

May I give a suggestion for #8?
Crop on the left what is needed to make it simmetrical: it will come out four times as powerful.

I love the portrait, #1

Very retro look to that, seems like its 1925, but SHARP.

#2 for me...

Let you 'assistant' keep the digi thing. That film stuff is looking good.

I have just mentioned your eye for a photo on your other BW submission.
A good comment by Orio.
I agree a slight crop would improve what is already is something very special

I'm with Orio on #2 and #8, but also really like #3 for its treatment of the whole range of light values. You are just SMOKIN' with the Kowa! Beautiful, professional work.

I am normally against centering the subject, but in this case I agree with Orio about #8. It is my favorite shot (well it is a toss up between #8 and #2) and I think it will be better with an even crop.

#2 is what I would call an emotional image, it reminds me of the sacrifices that were made to make my life better.

Thank you very much for sharing these.

What scanner, Bob?
The quality overall is impressive.

Thanks again guys, I will try the crop on 8, do you think losing the shadow on the tree at the bottom too? one thing I love about MF is the real estate for croppimg the that is available. Now I see it it jumps out at me for being off centre. It was at the end of a long scanning session last night Smile Also I never really saw the tooling marks on the stone on the graves until I saw the scan. the Kowa has rendered these very well.
