I just bought this lens. Do you have any idea what I bought? I know that it sounds very stupid but when I saw "Kaleinar", "2.8/100", "mint condition", price "$45 + $15 shipping" I just paid. What do you think? Very Happy

Excellent portrait lens by Arsenal factory. I had one for many years. You will be very pleased.
usually in Nikon mount.

That's not a bad price at all. I've never gotten to use my version. When I got it the focus was off, so it had obviously been reassembled incorrectly. I will devote a day to fixing it later this month. Good luck with your copy. I've seen some incredible results.

I have P6 copy of Kaleinar 2.8/150 and this is very good lens. This one I just bought is in M42 mount which is quite rare. We will see. I am sure that price is right.

I really liked the work of one photographer I found. I'm a big fan of dramatic severe portraiture...

Just thought I would share some of the results I thought were particularly stunning. He spelled the lens Kalejnar so they don't come up in the standard search.

I have the m42 mount too. There are a couple of H (Nikon) designated Russian lenses out there so you now have the option of interchanging mounts.

Last time when i did something like that i end up with a junk japanese helios 135mm f2.8 that i had to get rid quicklly. Not the case with your Kaleinar - great find!
