Olympus 21mm f3.5 same good and lot cheaper.
From above list I take 20mm f2.8 Flektogon (I have one on sale) not cheap..
Flektogon 4/20mm cheaper than 2.8 I have one also on sale.
I don't like Russians, Orio love them and he has much more knowladge about wide angle lenses than I have.
You can find samples with these lenses in mflenses.com/gallery _________________ -------------------------------

I'll put in a vote for the Flek. Even that most critical of lens reviewers, a certain Mr Lucis Pictor, said it was fantastic when he tried it. But don't take just my word, Bob's great pictures of the Isle of Skye in Gallery speak for themselves. _________________ Peter - Moderator |

I have a preferance for the 4/20 because of the geometric precision, but I have seen great pics out of the 2.8 version, so I'd suggest that you take advantage of the fact that Attila is selling one - when he says the copy is good, it is a safe buy. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Hi Puplet
I have the 2/21 from zuiko. I have to say it really is all it is sung up to be. Now that being said. I bought mine on the cheap a super deal. For as often as it is used I can not justify the usual price. I also usually only shoot it at Exactly f8. Not that it is not sharp more open or even wide open. F2 is mostly important for focus convenience in this focal length for it's typical use. I also have the zuiko 3.5/21 for now anyway. It performs identical to the f2 version at infinity. As you get closer it starts to show some distortion. The flek 4/20 is probably the best value and option to these two. After experimenting with a viv/kiron and also the cosina model 20ish offerings. I would take the flek in a second. It has no distortion and super color. I love how it looks one of the groovy-est lenses you can use I love it. Good luck in your search.
Hey I said the L word twice in a sentence and a large multi-national camera company was not involved. get the ell out of here

I have the Super-Takumar 20/4.5. It's a nice lens, sharp with great colors but it exhibits a bit of distortion on full frame 24x36 cameras. It is very susceptible to flare so be sure to get the specific lens shade if you plan to acquire this lens, because the lens has a 58mm filter thread but using any 58mm filter or lens shade will cause vignetting on a full frame camera. The original lens shade has a 77mm thread and comes with a 58 to 77mm converter ring, which also serves as an adapter for 77mm filters.
Cheers!
