The seller of the Biometar has offered a straight across trade for the Zeiss
4/20, does this lens have more value than the Biometar 80/2.8? Thanks.

used lens price guide says Biomter in the £60-100 range, I would say the 4/20 is £100+ depending on condition, remember it is a fragile lens with exposed optics. I would want some money on top if I owned the flek _________________ LENS LIST |

Yes if in good condition the Flek 20 is a higher value.
But check that the glasses have no scratch or marks.
A faint mark that could be OK in a tele, could be bad in a superwide. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Thanks, Bob and Estudleon for your advice! He's taking pics of it right now,
and I will post them here. I guess I have to ask myself if I will ever get
a 4/20 for only $88. It is in Exakta mount, zebra finish, just like
the Biometar. |

Good advice. Some lens defects are only visible that way. In fact, you can even judge the amount of dust shining a torch through the lens. |
