As i am thinking about selling this lens, yesterday i took it to a photoshoot.

This lens is very soft at f1.8, but pictures are nice.

If is this one http://www.praktica-collector.de/Auto_Revuenon_1.8_50_MC.htm then yes is soft at f:1.8. I confirm that. I have the Pentacon Auto MC version. With a good film its ok though.
By the way, great cars. I like those two italian ones Smile (Alfa & Ferari)

Hallo!

I have 3 Auto Revuenons.
The Auto Revuenons are so different in Quality, and their rank is a lower.

My 28mm is good, the 35mm worse and the 50mm is good, beside the mechanic:

But the lens must be younger at yours.

I don´t collect this lenses more, the quality is so assorted.

Your Pictures are still great, the old Porsche is a well designed car, good shoot.

regards Peter

Macro-Revuenons are better, I have the 35mm and the 28mm.
They are nice closeup lenses (although nowhere near the big league ones of course).

All revuenon came from different vendors such as Pentacon,Tomioka and many other cheap Japanese brands. So you never sure about quality even in same focal length. Nelson lens looks a rebagged Pentacon quality looks more less same than a Pentacon 50mm f1.8.

This is a Tomioka version. The pentacon version has the label of "Multi Coating".

Revuenon also has lots of Enna made lenses, such like 24/f4, 28/f3.5, etc. The 35/2.8 is made by Hanimax or some other Korean company.
