Thank you Luis. The Canon 50/1.2 has a very good reputation, I guess it will shine in your expert hands!

The Canon 50/1.2 has indeed a good reputation for sharpness. Check this column by Roger Hicks: http://www.shutterbug.com/content/canon%E2%80%99s-50mm-f12-rangefinder-lens-legend-super-fast-realm

The lens has a large diameter but it's a lot lighter than a modern Canon 1.2L lens. And it becomes quite sharp in the center from f/1.2-f/1.4, although the extreme corners remain muddy, even at f/11. But I guess you don't carry an f/0.95 lens if you need to shoot corner to corner sharp landscape pictures!
Cheers!

The lens I have is the "TV" version, which was originally in c-mount, but mine has been adapted to Leica bayonet by Michael at eastcamtech.com. This is a good point because I can use it with a Yeenon helicoid adapter (Leica M to Sony E-mount), allowing the lens to focus much closer than the 1 meter default minimum focus.
Cheers!

I usually prefer to avoid destructive modifications but in this case, I bought the lens already adapted from its previous owner. It's indeed a much more useful lens in Leica M mount than in c-mount (not to mention the confidential Canon RF external bayonet).
Cheers!
