The Super-Takumar 1:4/150 isn't a common lens, it's an odd focal length. But it's supposed to be a very good lens.

This is the Takumar lens booklet and price list - in Canadian $ - from 1975 and it's interesting that along with the 120mm, another odd length, it was one of the cheaper lenses in the range.

Are both the booklet and the price list from 1975, or just the price list?

Both from 1975, I was given a SP1000, Takumar 55 / 1.8, Soligor 135 / 2.8 and a bagful of other stuff along with all the original handbooks, paperwork and receipts by my brothers new father in law while I was in Canada a few weeks ago. I'll scan the Takumar book, it's a nice thing.

The prices shown here for "SMC" lenses are very close to US prices in March 1973 for "Super-Multi-Coated" lenses.

I would date the booklet earlier than 1973, however, because the S-M-C 1:2/35 and S-M-C 1:1.8/85 are not listed. Probably 1972 based on those immanent omissions.

I just checked, the book is undated, only the price list and receipts are dated 1975, and the price list doesn't list the SP1000 so he probably bought that a few years earlier and got the book at the same time.

SP1000 was produced in Japan October 1974 - January 1977

I wonder why SMC 2/35, introduced in US March 1973 (1971 in Japan), and SMC 1.8/85, introduced in US March 1973 (1972 in Japan) are missing from 1975 Canada price list. I thought Canada had less restrictions than US for Japan goods...

Great find, congratulations! About the price list: why are there no 50 mm lenses listed? Were they always sold as kit lenses together with a body and not available as separate lenses?

Thank you all lens friends for the extra information. Apology to the moderators as I tried to get this into " best deal found " column.

I just noticed that the list is for K Mount cameras, lenses and accessories.

Standard lenses are listed in the full leaflet, which I have scanned and posted in the 'Library' forum - http://forum.mflenses.com/pentax-k-mount-cameras-and-lenses-canadian-price-list-1-t73266.html
