Read about interesting adapter, for mount huge projection lenses to helicoid. But if you have not a such special helicoid, chipper solution is to buy broken mirror lens for donnor and use it barrel.
I make such construction for Meopta lens diameter of 64,5mm.

Here is my experience http://lensbeam.com/meopta-meostigmat/

Interesting work! requires a certain level knuckles busting but I'm sure it works fine. I actually might try this.

I split this into a new posting, as this way of mounting might be interesting to others.

The cheap mirror lenses usually have a very quick, short throw, helicoid. Is it enough ? iIf it is, then that's a great solution.

No, the opposite, as DOF is very shallow, so a longer throw is actually much better.

I have recently done a conversion using a broken camera parts, a hanimax 135mm was the donor and i put in a 16KP 50mm 1.2.
I wrapped tape around the lens til it was a snug fit in the helicoid. Fits well and is one of my faves at the moment.
Infinity too on E-PL5, not that its good for that. Smile

Hi all,
I'm new here (like a user, not a observer) so please forgive all mistakes if made.
Is this solution (old lens donor barrel) will provide focus ability for meopta lens? Or is it just lens holder for specific mount ?

Regards
T.

Yes, it provides focusing well. Infinity also safe (for this lens).
