Today I also captured some flowers of Tamarisk.
Combination is the same, Tessar 4.5/40 on 5D:

Nice, Orio, always interesting to see what blooms in other parts of the world!

Is this Tessar a keeper? It should be..

Yet AGAIN I see dimensionality here, especially in the second image. The flower fronds, even close together, have enough microcontrast and detailed falloff, that the dimensionality becomes obvious and adds so MUCH to the overall image. This lens also seems as sharp as can be.
