Sibiu - Romania ( introduction )

This week I visited the city of Sibiu, a very nice little town in the center of Romania an made hundreds of photos. Because my camera bag is not quite big and and to be more versatile concerning the focal lenghts oh the lenses I tokk with me two zoom, but both AF ones, sorry.

I should have check internet, seems there are lot of nice place in Romania
I hope to be able to go Romania end of June and visit also Sibiu

PS: you AF lens is funny with such distortion, I think only Carsten 17-85 should won it

Excellent travel reportage, Cosmin, you should try to sell the work to a magazine Smile

You always make careful choice of POVs to display the subject.

Unfortunately I can not say that I am equally impressed by the lens, the rendering seems flat and ordinary, exactly like my cheap 400D kit lens would do. Sorry! Sad

And this is a pity because many of your pictures deserved better.

I think next time you travel, you should leave the AF lenses home, and take with you your best MF lenses, no matter if they don't cover all the focal lenght range like a zoom does. They will pay you back with stronger pictures.

It's like I did a walk around by myself... Smile

I also own the Pentax 18-55 DA from the kit, and although is a very capable lens and quite sharp for its price I do prefer the MF ones, even for quick shots on street. But it's not the lens who takes the pictures but the photographer and you did a great work!.

Unfortunately , my widest MF lens is a 28 mm one so I can use its focal lenght for architecture only using film camera. 42mm is not wide enough Sad

Also I might used a too high compression for the Jpeg files.

Last year Sibiu was European Capital of Culture and therefore in previous years were made massive investments in the infrastucture of the town, the buildings, and many improvements were made to the informational system and some money spent for marketing.
