Three lenses have been waiting for my attention, and despite bad weather I took them out yesterday morning
.
1. Helios 40 after sunbathing:

2. Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2,8
Don't like it quite as much as my Kiron 28-85, but still early days with it

3. Schneider Curtagon 4/35
I think I am going to love this little gem

Schneider for sure! Smile I had only one Schneider Xenar 50mm that was a top lens, this one looks same very, very good one. Helios 40 an all time favourite lens , nice storybook lens.

Love all of them Patrick, and especially the Curtagon, which is a lens I try to get for almost two years now, without luck.
Should you ever consider to sell it in the future (but I don't think so it will be likely), please put me top of the list.

I believe the 4/35 and 2,8/35 are very different lenses - they even carry different "names". I was actually more interested in the tele-xenar 5,5/150 that came with it, but have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and character of the curtagon. Both are built like tanks and small size and sharpness/boke/rendering more than compensate for the relatively slow apertures. So far I am very happy with the Schneiders and Steinheils I have managed to acquire.

Love the Helios and the Curtagon shots, Patrick! The Helios is the lens I
need to take downtown! There's a Japanese festival next Sunday up at Monte
Sano Park I've got to see and hope for some photo ops, then.

I took a chance on a pair of Schneiders - 5,5/150 and 4/35 - on ebay and got them for peanuts ($42 including shipping). Probably one of the best bargains I have made since I think the Curtagon alone is worth far more than that. I recommend checking out Attila's price history - but I dont think the 4/35 shows up very often.

Nice shots, taken with nice lenses.
"Schneider-Kreuznach" ... One of the manufacturers that I do not have a lens of, not yet... Wink

Nice shots.
I think, the only Schneider Kreunach 4/35 is the famous shift lens PA Curtagon (Perspectiv Adjustment). In M42 mount build for Edixa-Mat cameras.
If you got this PA lens for 42$, than congratulations to you.

Actually Ingo it's a regular lens, not a shift.
