Still not sure if color or BW works better...

I fail to understand why so many photographers shoot B&W with these kind of great lenses. Most don't do justice to the lens or photographer. |

It is puzzling because the only place that I see anything like CA is along the chain of the handbag. To my eye there is a purple/blue tinge that seems out of place with the high quality of the rest of the image.
Beautiful skin tones in 1 &3 BTW

Not only in dress crystals and handbag's chain, but also in the HANDS! That was probably due the large aperture used and CA is quite visible in some OOF highlight areas..
Excellent photos and great model, BTW! _________________ Regards,

Actually I've noted some CA in the arms and hands of the model, maybe due also to the very close angle between the lens and the light source.
Being the excellent lens it it is - even with the CA in some special cases - it's just a matter of avoiding closed angles toward light source to get rid of it.
The Summicron-R 2/50 I have shows a decrease in contrast in situations like these, but I never noted any CA in the pictures,
Cheers,
Renato |

Beautyful images, colored for me!
This lens is good, it`s not free of abberations but wide open it is full of character.
For my taste the Summicron-R 90`s draw of sharp to unsharp transitions is absolutely beautyful.

Great model, great lens, perfect light and awesome photos!
Color version for me B/W conversion tones looks a tad too digital/soft/unnatural on my (good) monitor. Which software did you use for B/W conversion? I do recommend SilverEfex plugin for Lightroom/Photoshop
CAs in the last shot are a little annyoing indeed (not 100% perfectly focused I suspect, these lenses all have strong CAs when not perfectly focused and wide open) but maybe could be removed partially by PP maybe. _________________ I'm not a collector, I'm a tester
