Interesting.

However, I'm very far from a fan of Monet. Smile

What a relief. I was worried that Zeiss took inspiration from Monet in their lens design, or perhaps, even worse, Monet was inspired by Zeiss glass Laughing

If I was a marketeer I could use the second statement.

Very Happy

How would Beethoven have done it with an hearing aid?

Monet may have been able to see UV after his cataract surgery and THAT changed how he saw colors
and might have been the reason for his dramatic change in color use for his works...

Thanks Klaus for this excellent comparison image. There is indeed some change.
However in my very humble opinion, more than the surgery, what changed Monet's colours
was the exposure to the more recent post-impressionist works such as those by Van Gogh,
Gauguin and Redon.
