Thanks, and a tip of the cap, to forum member significantimagery for a very thoughtful assist with procurement of the subject lens.

Significantimagery had seen another auction for the same lens (a different copy, of course) here

and very kindly sent me a PM to give me a heads up. Absent the PM I would not have been aware.

I was unable to bid that auction at its close, so I took a flyer and placed my bid early. I realized I'd likely be sniped.

But I was not sniped and I won the lens!

Mounts are all important to me. What is pleasing about the lens I won is that there is a photo of the mount. The lens I won, but which never was shipped, had mount supposedly Pentax, but m42 or PK it did not say.

Unlike with the first, dishonest, seller, this latest one is highly likely to ship. And, in addition, the proceeds of the sale will assist a worthy cause.
