I've bought an repro stand light this one from Hama for 4x100W
I hope its I good one.

Any idea which lightsource/lightbulb would be suitable?
Daylight energy saving lamps might not have the optimal spectrum?
Do halogen bulbs work better?

A tri-phosphor compact fluorescent with daylight balance would be my suggestion. Buy ones specifically designed for photography. Tri-phosphor should prevent the greenish cast you get with normal fluorescent lamps, which is the result of green being the dominant colour of the mercury vapour discharge.

I don't think you can get incandescent lamps with a daylight balance. This would require a black body temperature of ~5500K. Tungsten, for example, melts at ~3400K.
