That's a wonderful house Orio, you can tell that it has been through a lot. Not as sterile as most typical contemporary houses.

What a beautiful farm the first one, the second one reminds me of where i live in a way. Oh and your house, sometimes i am thinking of going to live in an old house when i retire and slowly and endlessly renew it...because it s and endless work, isn t it? Smile

Agree with the comments about your home, Orio, looks like a great place to hang your hat. You get snowfall, bet it's a postcard in winter as well...

Thank you my friends!
Yes, an old house like this (which used to be a barn and stable in fact, until 40 years ago), always has some issues, but I still like it Smile
And, it's much better to live alone in a old house than in a new flat with noisy and nasty people Rolling Eyes
Yes, landscape looks good with snow too, but I don't have many pics, because usually when it snows, I spend the two following days shoveling it Sad
It was sort of a glorious day that day, but lens plays a part too. It's not as good as the 35-70 image quality wise, but delivers more vibrant contrast and colours,
which ultimately I prefer for landscapes, because I don't have to look at the tiniest bits, it's more important the overall image impact.

All of those are better than any professionally shot postcards I have seen and I agree about not needing to look for sharpness on landscapes like that. The colours and contrast make them look sharp enough.

The 28-85 lens is very close to the ZEISS APO standards! Together with the excellent 37-70mm Vario-Sonnar, both belong to the absolute top zoom lens class!

The 35-70 Vario-Sonnar is my favorite lens.
Out of many, much more expensive ones.
