Thank You Pepes for giving us glimpses of rural life in Your country. I appreciate, that You spend so much time recording the life in the museum village. I´ve enjoyed Your fine journalistic photography.

In this series, large apertures do not unfortunately work, IMHO. The subject is lost in the nervous background.
I like #5 best. The shot through the window would be nice, but the overexposed tree branch doesn´t look good. How about cropping the upper half away?

very good report of this work, as all your series from the old village.
I agree, that the background is leading your eye away from real action in the pictures. There is a competition between action of the smith and the blur.
Could you show first 3 in colour ? It might then be easier to select action and background.

especially where you see the fire or the yellow/red steel, selection is easier for the eye, but i understand now, why you converted it into BW, as the modern coloured clothing of the people is a little bit disturbing.
Either you have to do a lot of PP, or you need to go there with a group of friends , dressed appropriate, who place themselves in front of the other visitors Smile
but anyhow - i really appreciate this work and like to see more of it, because there is life in

Difficult shooting situation: flat, almost undirectional lighting, near stuffed background with lots of highlights.
Yes, stopped down would have made the background smoother and provided some necessary detail to the subjects. But it wouldn't have changed the flat lighting.
This is one of those cases when a remote flash would have been a great help.
