Interesting and beautiful.

Didn't know such remote places are right in the middle of Bologna and Firenze.

Just WOW! Shocked Of course it would be taken with a lens made of 100% unobtainium. Smile

Great shot, but maybe I'm odd in that I would prefer the picture without the overall Cyan cast.......maybe it's my monitor Shocked .

Thanks guys! The real lucky strike in this shot was the sunlight spot *exactly* where she was hanging the clothes.
I couldn't do it better if I placed it on purpose! Laughing
@ Excalibur: I don't like to artificially warm up shadows in the pictures. They feel fake to me and also brown shadows kill depth.
The air on mountains is rich of UVs, with blue sky and no direct sunlight, shadows look real blue.

Cool

You see those shadows real blue, accurately. Before I studied photography and learned to see accurately, I didn't notice the blue cast of skylight in shadows. Now I see the shadows real blue too. However, I think most people would say the photo has a cast, because of the way they see inaccurately. (not sure I'm succeeding at expressing myself here Laughing)

Stunning shot! Needs to be printed big...

And it looks like idyllic place to live.

Interesting point....maybe people who live in places with no mountains see blue more than a person who lives or visits mountains frequently as the brain learns to filter it out. But we all see a red cast when the sun is low no matter where we live Question But when using film, too much blue was always a problem and correction filters were used.

Thanks for your comments guys!
If you look at the sky, you can see that the colour is realistic (i.e. not overdone). The shadows are really blue tinted though.
I think that the cause is the UV. The sky was very bright and acted as a huge blue reflector panel.
The thin air at 2000 meters altitude made little resistance to UV. There was low haze too.
Having that said, I can't exclude that the M9 might be a little too sensitive to UVs.
On the lens, however, I had a Zeiss T* UV filter mounted, as I always do when I go to mountains or the sea.
Without it, it might have been ever bluer!
I think however that the blue shadows add to the mood.
