Century Graphic 23 with Pullin London Pulnar 2.8/100. Kodak Industrex MX125 stand developed in Fomadon LQR 1:14. 1 sec at f2.8.

No PP, just as it came out of my old Epson Perfection 3200.

I think I prefer it with the brightness turned down a little:

Interesting lens, interesting result. I'm not sure I like the second version as much as the original

I'd like it better if the background was uniform. The background blots disturb the subject sensibly

Thanks for the comments guys, I never considered the background when I shot it, it's something I will bear in mind next time.

Background is a bit distracting but I like it overall. Darker one for me.

Cheers guys, I always appreciate feedback.

I used the burn tool in photoshop to remove the background, immediately I thought it looked much better, so thankyou for that tip!

Here I have done some processing with silverfx:

Better a lot, I like it!

Cheers, I agree.

I think this is a nice example of how PP can really improve an image. The original untouched film shot was nice but with PP it became very nice.

I do love silverfx, I consider it a must have for BW work.

Nice work, Ian, I like the last version, too, but also am with Jussi on the lower contrast 50-Shades-of-Grey original as well.

Cheers Bill. I'm going to have to get into still-life work now I can't walk very far.
