It was very cloudy/overcast & the WB was set to cloudy. The bottom sides of the wings are very dull compared to the tops & you are mostly seeing bottoms. _________________ Ron

We have lived here for 36 years & never seen this before. So I doubt we are on the normal migration path. There were groups like this in several different trees but this was the easiest to shoot. _________________ Ron

Yes it is a great lens. It's one of the few manual zoom lens that I have. Both pictures were shot using the lens. I have two copies.
